The Benefits of Membership

Benefits

The Auckland Club has a long history (it was founded in 1853) and has very strong traditions.

Following is a list of the benefits you can expect from your membership when you join the Club. (*)

Meet business contacts

  • Full use of the Club, where we have superb dining facilities for formal and informal meals, a bar (called the Wine Room), a billiards room, accommodation as well as other rooms and facilities
  • The use of the private dining facilities
  • The use of the reception and meeting rooms for your business purposes
  • The use of the Library and Director's Room, set up with meeting and working facilities
  • The opportunity to meet other Members in a social or business environment
  • The right to use reciprocal Clubs around the world. A list of these Clubs is provided when you become a member.
  • Receipt of the regular newsletter called 'Club Ties' which will give you details of activities within the Club, including speakers and social events. Recent Club Ties are available in PDF format on the "Publications" page.
  • The ability to attend any or all of the functions organized for Members
  • including meeting New Zealand business leaders, special dinners or cultural events.


(*) The Auckland Club requires a proposer and a seconder with all new membership applications.



The following are the membership categories at the Auckland Club:

Town Member

 
Member under 35 years old  
Member under 30 years old  
Country Member 
(Private and Business addresses both more than 65kms from Clubhouse)
 

Overseas Member
(after one year as a full member)

 
Senior Member
(over 60 years and over 5 years as a full Member)
 
Associate Member
(Member's Spouse /Partner - for use at The Auckland Club only)
 

Subscription Year - 1 April to 31 March (subscriptions are billed in two equal instalments). A Member joining after 1 April pays proportionately for the remainder of the subscription year. Part of the first year's subscription is credited to the new Member's usage account.
